Tomorrow is my birthday, and my one ask expires Friday šŸŽ

Since I’m a proud September Virgo, you won’t be surprised to learn that I already know exactly what I want for my birthday, and it comes with a Friday deadline.

If you’re a longtime reader, you’ve likely heard me call myself a recovering perfectionist, people pleaser, and workaholic. I’ve also been open about living with generalized anxiety disorder, OCD, PTSD, and panic disorder for more than a decade.

There have been seasons when those conditions felt manageable and seasons when they didn’t. What has carried me through the hardest stretches is therapy, medication, movement, community, and people reminding me that I’m not alone.

That’s why I’m celebrating my birthday a little differently this year, by raising money for a cause that’s deeply personal to me.

NAMI (the National Alliance on Mental Illness) is working to raise $100,000 for its Better Together Fund. The deadline is this Friday, September 4.

The fund sustains NAMI’s free support groups, education programs, and HelpLine at a time when demand is rising and federal funding is uncertain. These free resources are often the first place someone turns when they’re struggling, long before therapy feels possible or affordable.

I’m making my own gift this week to mark another year of life and recovery.

Here’s my birthday wish: Will you join me in making a gift to NAMI’s Better Together Fund? A gift of any size makes a real difference.

Have a fabulous week!

P.S. The Better Together Fund closes this Friday, September 4. If you’re able, please make your gift today and help NAMI continue providing free mental health support to millions of people.
