What’s the biggest burnout myth you’ve heard? 🧀

I’m heading to Madison, Wisconsin, today for CultureCon, where hundreds of culture leaders are coming together to make work more meaningful.

Fun fact: It’s my first time in Wisconsin, so please send any recommendations for while I’m in the state! I’m also recording a podcast episode in person while I’m there, which is a rare treat. (Look out for that in a future newsletter!)

Tomorrow, I’ll be taking the stage to deliver my signature workshop, From Burnout to Boundaries: Protecting Your Peace as a Workplace Culture Leader.

Participants will leave ready to…

🧀 Challenge the belief that constant availability is part of the job.
🧀 Get clear on their own capacity and limits so they can lead with more clarity.
🧀 Use trauma-informed tools to stay grounded when the pressure is on.

Culture leaders spend their days holding space for everyone else. In this session, they get to put that role down and focus on themselves.

Based on leaders I speak with, I imagine a few of you know how burnout feels, even if “culture” isn’t in your official title. You’re the person your team comes to when they’re struggling. Unfortunately, nobody is checking in on you.

Before I take the stage, I want to hear from you. Hit REPLY and tell me the biggest burnout myth you’ve heard at work, whether that’s “burnout just means you can’t handle the pressure” or something else entirely.I promise you that I read every single message, and I might work yours into the talk.

If you’re experiencing FOMO (fear of missing out) about this conference, I don’t blame you, but you don’t have to be in the room in Madison to do this work. I recently devoted an issue of my LinkedIn newsletter, Reboot Briefs, to the topic of leadership burnout, including three strategies for reclaiming your energy and focus.

👉🏼 Read it now to start protecting your peace.

Have a fabulous week!

P.S. Between now and the end of September, I’m delivering more than a dozen workshops, training programs, and group coaching sessions, and I’m currently booking engagements for late 2026 and beyond. Get the conversation started and invite me to speak.
